I was introduced to Fox Farm Happy Frog potting soil just this year at a workshop I attended, and after using the big box store brands for years and having mediocre results, I decide that i was tired of using potting soil that did not stand the test of time.
I used this soil specifically for starting seeds in an indoors environment and the result where astounding.
along with the other nutrients i used and the techniques I learned, i achieved a 95% germination rate and and a 99% transplant survival rate.

I have been using Dr Earth products for about 4 years now and I have to say that I am impressed on the quality of the fertilizer when I do need a little help with my garden beds.
My use for fertilizers is very limited and mainly for my potted plants and it is my experience that there is no fertilizers that come close to the quality that Dr Earth offers

I never thought about using heating mats to help start my seedlings, I always thought living in California that my climate would allow me to sow seeds at will. I was very mistaken.
I will use these now and year around to give my seeds the best heated environment to germinate.
